Kraken is a remarkable, multi-story wooden sculpture built like a steamship, with an intricate design that invites exploration. Standing on reclaimed old English claw feet, its imposing size—about the height of a couch—commands attention. The structure features multiple portals, doors, and hidden discoveries, with each level separated by old door panels. The various doors open to reveal a series of cubby holes and secret openings, encouraging curiosity. The repetition of Indian printing blocks and a set of checkers played a key role in completing its assembly. Crafted from up-cycled, eco-friendly materials, Kraken is an artist-made, hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind creation. Its sustainable design and use of repurposed materials make it a stunning example of original, three-dimensional wooden sculpture.
